I like being together with children and listening to their stories. They boost my motivation and give me the power to be energetic all week long. On the other hand, I am interested in researching, and thanks to Hub21 I can write my ideas down to make them taught to children. Being able to touch children’s lives makes me feel amazing.
Hub21 gives me the opportunity to meet with children from different backgrounds. It allowed me to observe the differences and proved to me that the only thing you need to be named as a child is to have sparkles in your eyes and a huge smile.
I always start my lessons by listening to my students’ stories about the previous week, so that we can both ice and create a connection among us. During the lesson, they may lose their concentration. I use the stories they told me to make them turn back to the code. I also let them tell me what we code during the lesson to make sure they understood the content well.
I am working in FRC team Cymurghs. We organize social responsibility projects for everyone such as disability awareness outreach and volunteering to educate children in disadvantaged areas. I have been a part of this team for 2 years, and I spend most of my time here. Also, I am taking some courses from the university I committed to.
I was in a lesson with Darussafaka, and my students were telling me what they did during the previous week. One of them told me that she is a gymnast and suddenly started to show a gymnastics performance on her camera. She also started to sing and dance in other lessons, it is a great feeling to watch her confidence!
